Why Choose Sweaty Beast Fitness?

My name is Annabel and I'm the personal trainer behind Sweaty Beast Fitness. I'm based in Balham and I offer outdoor training on Tooting Common or at your home, as well as gym training at Brixton Recreation Centre if you are a member there. I focus on providing a bespoke one to one service for my clients, with a high level of professionalism as well as a friendly, personal touch. Whether they are at your home, outdoor in the park, or at the gym your sessions will be in a place convenient for you. We train all year round in the park whatever the weather so make sure you come prepared. I also offer paired training if you’d like some extra motivation from a friend or partner as you workout!

You will receive a free consultation where I take the time to understand your fitness goals and existing lifestyle habits, as well as answer any questions you might have about the training sessions. From that discussion I develop your training plan to ensure your sessions will work effectively towards realistic and trackable goals.

You might be looking for a specific training programme, need more structure in your exercise regime, want help with your technique, or just need that extra push to improve your performance or get moving again - no matter what your reason is for getting a Personal Trainer, I’ve got you covered. Whatever your needs are, I make sure your programme is tailored towards them and is suitable for your experience and level. I cater for all levels of fitness - from the complete newbie, to the returning exerciser, to seasoned gym-goers. I provide effective motivation for you to work hard in an approachable and encouraging manner. Remember that it will take hard work, time and consistency from you - in and out of your sessions to see results - so be prepared to put the effort in and I will support you all the way!

If you need help staying on track between sessions and need more than just the in-person training then you may be interested in also signing up to my online training plan. This is an additional subscription option which gives you a tailored programme of workouts to follow in your own time. This may be for you if you've ever found yourself at the gym or at home ready to workout but have no real idea what to do, unsure if you are hitting all the muscle groups, if you are choosing the right exercises, or completing them with the correct technique, time period or rep range. The online training might also be for you if you just need that added push and motivation to exercise on your own, with more structure and guidance. The workouts are delivered through an easy to use app and are to be completed either at home or at the gym, depending on your situation. I update the workouts for you each month so you are able to improve on previous performance and see progress. With the online plan you get full access to the app which includes great in-built features such as video demonstrations and written description of exercises and I also programme in the required time/reps/sets for each exercise. The app also includes a host of other features such as scheduling and recording your workouts and tracking your nutrition to help motivate you. This is a great option if you need help staying consistent, keeping yourself accountable and with progressing your workouts in the times outside of your PT sessions. 

What's Included In A Sweaty Beast Fitness Training Session?

The content of your outdoor, home or gym personal training session will be determined by your specific goals and objectives. Whether you want to get stronger, leaner, reduce body fat, gain muscle, improve CV fitness, train for an event or have another goal in mind - I ensure you have the appropriate exercises programmed as well as consistency, challenge and variation to build towards the results you want. No training session will be exactly the same. You will work on the fundamental movement patterns, and repeat these exercises and those similar to ensure a solid foundation and to allow for progress to be tracked. Tracking results and other metrics is an effective way to monitor progress, helps to keep your motivation up and provides specific information for planning the next phase of your programme. As well as mastering the basics, your sessions will include variety and different variations of exercises or changes in equipment over the weeks to provide your muscles with new stimulus and maintain your enthusiasm.

You should be prepared to push yourself and come with a positive attitude! Generally your sessions will include a combination of strength training, cardio, core and mobility work as this proves most effective for the majority of goals, however your programme may have more of an emphasis on one particular area over another. Over the course of your sessions you will be given increasing levels of challenge to ensure consistent improvements and progress is made. It is not all goals and objectives though - I also want you to have fun and enjoy your sessions too! 

What Makes Sweaty Beast Fitness Special?

As an at-home and outdoor personal trainer I use a wide range of quality portable gym equipment to turn any location we use into an effective workout space just for you! I have everything you need for a ‘gym without the gym’ including dumbbells, kettlebells, barbell, battle rope, sandbag, slam balls, resistance bands and more!  The only thing I ask you to bring is your own mat, water and lots of energy! Each session is planned specifically for you, taking into account what you have done previously and what we are working towards.

What can be more important than being fit, strong and healthy in our daily lives? As well as helping you nail your goals, it is extremely important for me to make sure my clients are fit for everyday life so Functional training will always be part of my personal training programming. I also provide guidance in relation to nutrition so that what you put into your body aligns with your training, rather than working against it. You cannot out-train a poor diet but I do firmly believe you can enjoy the foods and drinks you like (in moderation) and still be able to achieve your goals! I will not advise anything regarding your training or nutrition that is a ‘quick fix’ - all sustainable change takes time and this approach will see long term results, as long as you are ready to put the work in and make adjustments or where needed.
